The Alaskan waters are famous for many different fish including “The King”, Chinook or King Salmon. But that is not the only famed catch of Ketchikan. How about the “Barndoor” Halibut, named for its monster like size, the Silver Salmon (Coho), Chum Salmon and Pink Salmon, Lingcod, Pacific Cod, and Red Snapper (Yelloweye Rockfish) to name just a few of the many species living in these Alaskan waterways.

Offering both full day charters and half day charters tailored for cruise ship passengers Captain Moore will use his years of expertise and the best equipment available to take you where the fish are. A charter on the “West Cape” is like no other. Captain Moore likes to involve his guests in the entire experience and if you wish to he will teach you not only how to catch and land a King Salmon or a monster Halibut but he will also teach you how to set up your own gear, how to net the fish and even how to rig your own trolling baits if you like. The trip is about you and of course if you prefer to just fish Captain Moore and the crew of the “West Cape” will assist you with all of your fishing needs and make sure that all you have to do is reel in the many fish that you will be catching throughout the day on your charter. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned pro, your charter in Ketchikan will be a dream come true for all.
